Sheet Pile

Here at Mick Newport Contracting, we specialise in sheet pile installation and removal for projects both large and small, public and private. We employ a dedicated team of certified, licenced and highly-skilled sheet pile operators and specialist equipment to guarantee that your project is completed to an industry-leading standard.

Sheet piles are made of thin interlocking steel sheets that are driven into the ground to create a wall, and are often used to provide reinforcing and soil retention in large-scale construction projects. With that said, sheet piles are incredibly versatile and their application can be adapted to the landscape and project at hand. Robust and versatile, sheet piles are a fantastic solution to many engineering and construction challenges, and can be installed on a permanent or temporary basis.

Over the years, we have been contracted to use sheet piles for a number of civil infrastructure and private development projects ranging from the construction of levee and marina walls to the installation of large fuel tanks and the excavation of building basements and foundations.

Having worked extensively throughout Queensland and across the country, our sheet pile operators are familiar with the geotechnical and geological challenges posed by Australia’s unique and diverse environment and are highly capable of adapting their techniques and approach to the local conditions.

Earthworks

We are Queensland’s premier earthworks and excavation plant hire contractor and are proud of our ability to take on any challenge in this field. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in earthworks and excavation, we have worked throughout Queensland, the Northern Territory and New South Wales on private and public developments alike.

We possess a modern, well-maintained fleet of trucks, excavators and loaders that allows us to take on projects ranging from the construction of dams, roadworks and water reticulation systems to drain digging, site preparation and sewer works.

In addition to our standard fleet of equipment, we also have several pieces of specialist machinery on hand, including several Case zero-swing excavators for sites where space and access are limited, as well as a 19m Case long-reach excavator for areas that require a low-impact presence, such as creeks, estuaries and foreshores.
